Description

Eagle Rock is a difficult trail off of Old Stage Road, west of Colorado Springs. Since it is in the trees and at a higher elevation, it is likely that there is still snow, so along with locker(s) being highly recommended, winches, chains and shovels may come in very handy. The adopting club has done some work on the trail a couple years ago, so it is somewhat harder than it was before. There are pictures in the gallery of a couple trips to this trail. It meets up with Mt Baldy trail(easy) at it’s end. Saran Wrap, another trail, is slightly further down Old Stage.

Please verify on the forum if this trip will be run or if an alternative trail is scheduled.

Trail Leader Course

Well it’s that time of year again, time to get new trail leaders trained. The Solihull Society needs trail leaders to lead our 2008 events and participate in the Land Rover National Rally.

Date: June 7th and 8th, 2008
Where: Pike National Forest

Commitment: If participants commit to leading 1 summer trail and 2 rally trails, the cost will be minimal $75. If participants don’t want to commit to leading 1 Solihull Society Trail Event and 2 Land Rover National Rally Trails, the full cost would be incurred $300.

I know it is still skiing and snowboarding season, and Solihull Society events seem far away.

But I thought a reminder…
