Membership Processing
Club membership is processed by our club secretary Beth Dyson-Muskopf.
Beth is doing a thankless but wonderful job. If you have not received your club membership card and newsletter please contact Beth. Beth processes those requests very quickly.

From time to time Beth has received notifications from a few of our members that they have not received their membership cards/newsletter. There are various reasons this happens but in many of the situations this is due to not having current address and email information. Please contact Beth to let her know if you have changes to your home and email addresses.

Beth’s processing time of memberships is just a few days after receiving the application. The processing time of getting Beth the applications is just over a week at this time. Sneakernet* is the way we deliver Beth the membership applications. A board member checks the Solihull Society P.O. Box about once a week and then delivers the applications to Beth.

*Sneakernet is physically carrying media/mail from one place to another. Sneaker refers to the shoes of the person carrying the media/mail. This is usually in lieu of transferring the information over a computer network.

In the future the club will add online membership processing.
This feature is not ready for prime time just yet but is in the development stage.

Announcement: We are pleased to announce Beth Dyson-Muskopf has volunteered to be the Club Secretary/Membership Coordinator.

Thanks to all members for your patience regarding memberships. With the recent vacancy in the position, we were slow in response to membership questions, applications, and communication. We apologize. We are fortunate to have Beth volunteer.

There will be an official vote at the next general club meeting for this position. If anyone else is interested in the position please attend the meeting on June 12, 2007. See club calendar.

We did need to catch up on all of our memberships and Beth has done an outstanding job in a very short time.

Here are is the latest from Beth.

* All of the paid renewals for 2007 have been updated in the database

* New membership cards have been made for the paid members

* Thank you notes will be going out for all paid members with their new cards.

* Beth will be bringing the membership cards to the general club meeting for those that normally attend. The rest will be mailed after the meeting.

* Later this week Beth will start on getting a mailing out to those members who have not paid for this year. Beth will include the opportunity to pay for both 07 and 08 in the notice.

Our membership is what ‘drives’ this club. Sorry about the pun…
We are very appreciative to our members for participating in the many ways that make this club great.
