2026 Land Rover National Rally - 26 - 31 July
Ouray, Colorado

The town of Ouray Colorado is the base for the rally.

Ouray sits at an elevation of 8,000 ft and some trails will take attendees to over 12,000 feet.  Colorado has very low humidity. For people coming from lower elevations hydration is very important to avoid the effects of attitude sickness.
You should start hydrating with water and sports drinks several days before arriving and keep it up during the entire rally week.
People not acclimated will get tired more quickly than normal, because of dehydration and less oxygen.

Registration will open 31 Jan 2026, (rally details underdevelopment)

THIS PAGE WILL BE UPDATED AS MORE INFO IS RELEASED
(Last update 7 Jan 2026)

Food, Lodging and Camping

There will be special tickets available for purchase to the Ouray Hot Springs.
For the price of single day entry fee, 5 days of full access to the pools and showers
will be available

Food Packages

An optional supper package will be available for purchase at registration time.
The rationale for the supper package option is the limited restaurant capacity of Ouray
and that the rally takes place during the summer tourist high season. This approach
has worked well in past rallies. The food will be served in a tent at the central
rally headquarters area by Twin Peaks Lodge staff.  The service will provide the disposable
plates, cutlery, napkins, and cups.  A cash bar will be available.

Attendees are responsible for their own breakfast and lunch.  Most of the lodges and hotels
offer a breakfast option.

The final rally banquet dinner is included in the rally fee, but other meals are optional with the
food packages.

Note that the dinning tent will be the location for evening presentations and is adjacent
to the sponsor and vendor display area.

Full Supper Package:  supper for rally days Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
The Friday end of rally banquet dinner is included in the registration fee.

Lodging Packages

Booking lodging is the responsibility of the registrant.  Arrangements have been made with the
lodging providers listed below to reserve blocks of rooms.  The lodging packages will have
hard book by dates, after those dates participants will be on their own with no guarantees.
The lodging booking packages availability will expire on the dates listed for each lodging business.

Contact the lodging facility directly to book, either by calling or going to
the lodging web site.  The lodging name is a link to their web site.

Trails!

During the registration process participants can indicate the trails they are interested in running,
but does not commit the registrant to those trails. Although there are 4 days of trail runs, you can
select more than 5 trails.  We are using this to gauge interest and might run a specific trail on more than
one day if interest is high.

The following list of trails and trail combinations are preliminary and can change due to restrictions and suggestions from participants.

This information will be used for preliminary planning, but the final trail run schedule will be
determined each day based on the daily interest, USFS & BLM restrictions, weather and trail leader availability.

There will be limits on how many vehicles can run a trail in any single group and how many times
per day, as per the approved Rally Operating Plan associated with the USFS & BLM permits.

All trails subject to conditions and availability of trail leaders, SO VOLUNTEER!

Note:

Colorado Parks & Wildlife  require an Off-Highway Vehicle permit. The permit runs from 1 April to 31 March.
The cost is $25.25.  Enforcement is starting to ramp up with fines of $100.
The permit fee goes to the support of back-country rescue teams and services.
Each vehicle should have a permit and it is the responsibility of the vehicle owner to secure one.
